PHAROS AI Factory announces the 1st Course of its Training Series, taking place online on Zoom with the subject "Machine Learning Fundamentals"

Date: September 24th, 2025, at 10:00 EET

Location: Online via Zoom

Presentation Languages: Greek

Audience: This module is designed for data analysts, software developers, business professionals, and newcomers to data science who are keen to understand the basics of machine learning and data mining.

Course Description: This course discusses the fundamentals needed for machine learning practitioners, covering two essential dimensions: exploratory data analysis outlines the techniques needed to extract statistics, visualize information and perform preprocessing algorithms to a given tabular dataset. Moreover, fundamental machine learning algorithms for data classification, such as logistic regression, naive bayes, decision trees and other established methods, such as their evaluation practices conclude this course.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the role of exploratory data analysis (EDA) in preparing data for machine learning.

  • Learn techniques for summarizing, visualizing, and preprocessing tabular datasets.

  • Gain knowledge of fundamental classification algorithms such as logistic regression, naive Bayes, and decision trees.

  • Explore evaluation methods to assess and compare model performance.
