GRNET announces, in the context of the EBSI Node Expansion (EBSI-NE) project, the hybrid Seminar and Training on “Demystifying EBSI”  which will take place on Friday April 11th, 2025 at GRNET premises, in Athens Greece.

Description: The goal of this event is to introduce the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) and its potential applications to relevant stakeholders in Greece. 

The event is structured in two parts:

  • Session 1 Seminar: GRNET will provide an overview of the EBSI initiative, and highlight its role in advancing the European blockchain infrastructure. The panel discussions will focus on the EBSI-NE project's role in shaping the future of the EBSI ecosystem, its impact in developing a more robust, interoperable, and scalable blockchain infrastructure for public services in Europe through expert insights.

  • Session 2 Training: CERTH will present their expertise in implementing EBSI infrastructure, covering onboarding, node setup, and operational insights while highlighting its support for public and private sector applications, commitment to the European initiative, and interoperable wallet solution for seamless digital service integration.

Target Audience:  

The event is open to policymakers, decision-makers, researchers, professionals, government body, public sector entities’ and businesses’ technical teams representatives,   and the general public interested in EBSI infrastructure and solutions around blockchain technology and digital innovation. 

No technical expertise is required to follow the event but those with a technical background will benefit from exploring implementation details more deeply.

What is EBSI and EBSI-NE?

EBSI is an initiative established by the European Commission and the EU member states to develop a European infrastructure for blockchain technology. The project European Blockchain Services Infrastructure – Nodes Expansion (EBSI-NE) is a collaborative initiative between 24 organisations from 14 European countries.
