As partner in the VI-SEEM project (www.vi-seem.eu), the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is holding a one-day national dissemination event to present the project and resources it provides to members of the different scientific communities in Egypt. The event is to take place Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Alexandria, starting at 10:30 AM and ending at 03:00 PM. The aim of the event is to present the VI-SEEM project, present the VirMuF application developed by the BA within VI-SEEM for constructing virtual museums with no coding required, and present the local HPC infrastructure operated by the BA. One hour of hands-on HPC experience followed by a visit to the BA-HPC facility and a general tour of the BA are also included in the program. Registration is open to all who are involved with scientific research in Egypt.
If you are joining us at the event, kindly bring along your laptop in order to take part in the hands-on session. Preferably, please also have an SSH client installed. For Linux, the 'ssh' command will often be available already on your system. For Windows, please install Bitvise.
