  Series  with the subject “Introduction to accelerators: GPUs / CUDA”\

 24\, at 10:00 EET  \n\nLocation: Online via Zoom \n\nPresentation Langua
 ge: Greek\n\nAudience:  Suitable for students\, researchers\, engineers an
 d programmers who would like to learn GPU programming with CUDA. Some prev
 ious experience with C/C++ is required\, no prior knowledge of CUDA is nee
 ded.\n\nΤhe course covers the architecture of the GPU accelerators\, fund
 amental differences between GPUs and CPUs\, major GPU software suites avai
 lable\, basic usage of CUDA and how to control data movement between CPUs 
 and GPUs. The course also focuses on more advanced topics\, such as how to
  optimise computational kernels for efficient execution on GPU hardware an
 d how to explore task-based parallelism using streams and events. We will 
 also briefly go through profiling tools that can help one to identify the 
 computational bottleneck of the applications.\n\nAfter the course the part
 icipants should have the basic skills needed for using CUDA in new or exis
 ting applications.\n\nThe participants are assumed to have knowledge of C
